Up until now, the nv_disp.inf x.xx.xx.xxxx driver has worked for the 9500 GT and our older 8600 GT cards. I grabbed the latest NVIDIA .exe for Windows 7 64-bit OS off of NVIDIA's website and extracted the nv_disp .inf from it.
Everything goes smooth once MDT injects the drivers. The card shows up in Device Manager as GT 520, Aero is enabled and working, etc. However, after the next reboot, when the machine comes back up I receive messages from Windows stating that the device install has failed. The graphics card then shows up as Standard VGA in Device Manager.
The Task Sequence will finish successfully with the message hovering in the background. The next time I reboot, Windows will automatically search for a compatible driver and install an older driver version and the card is fully functioning again after that. This is obviously not ideal and I would prefer the device install successfully when initially imaging with MDT.
Are there any other drivers required for these new NVIDIA cards to work? Even though I won't be using the HDMI audio I've tried placing that in the General folder as well and it successfully installs that device, but still does not help the failed graphics driver installation.
Here is the output from my ZTIdrivers.log. Everything looks kosher in it. Note: this is the output from trying to use the NVIDIA driver dated from back in May of this year and not the latest from NVIDIA's website, but the logs look the same no matter which one I use.
So I rebooted and now, the graphics driver wouldn't load anymore, so I uninstalled, purged and autoremoved cuda again and rebooted again but I still can't get X back. I downloaded and tried to install the NVIDIA driver NVIDIA_Linux_x86_64-367.27.run but it doesn't want to install and instead tells me to run sudo apt-get install nvidia-396 nvidia-modprobe nvidia-settings which I tried too but I still cannot get back into my X.
Don't install nVidia drivers from ***.run files but instead from PPA like ~graphics-drivers/+archive/ubuntu/ppaso to omit any mess after...You already have messed things, also by installing 390 driver version You already have compiled cuda in there so no need to install additional cuda toolkit
If you do not see any update released within a year, then NVIDIA probably has discontinued releasing updates to your driver which is a bit old and either you can update the card or switch off this reporting via preferences.Edit > preferences > General >

If you find that that driver is latest, but Illustrator is still showing it as incompatible, then most probably it is an old graphic card. You can continue to use your old card as you have been using earlier. Suppress the check via preferences as mentioned above. But it is recommended to work on a later graphics card.
I am working on a illustrator 2021, on a lenovo yoga laptop windows 10. Suddenly I opened Illustrator to work on an existing file and I got the message: system compatibility Report Intel HD Graphics 620 unsupported video driver. I have repeatedly gotten the up to date driver and uninstalled and reinstalled illustrator....but still the error comes up and I have to contro alt delete to shut it down.
Sorry to hear about this. We have launched this new feature which checks the compatibility of your machine. If even after updating your drivers you're getting this system compatibility report. Please turn this off by unchecking "Show system compatibility issues at startup" under Preferences > General.
Since this is an old hardware for which NVIDIA has discontinued updates to the driver, You will not be able to update to the latest driver. Though you can disable this System compatibility report from preferences.
This is the screen I'm getting on both my desktop and laptop. We updated the drivers on the desktop. and still the same issue. The laptop worked great until the upgade this morning, then this screen. Is this a known problem with the 25.2 update?
Hi Kay,I also had that message on my screen yesterday. In my case, the drivers for the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and NVIDIA Quadro K2000M should be updated.Well, the problem is - at least in my case - that support for my graphics cards has apparently been stopped by Intel and NVIDIA and no new drivers are being released. However, the GTX 1060 is not that old and should actually still be supported.
Note that many Linux distributions provide their own packages of the NVIDIA Linux Graphics Driver in the distribution's native package management format. This may interact better with the rest of your distribution's framework, and you may want to use this rather than NVIDIA's official package. Also note that SuSE users should read the SuSE NVIDIA Installer HOWTO before downloading the driver. Installation instructions: Once you have downloaded the driver, change to the directory containing the driver package and install the driver by running, as root, sh ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-270.41.06.run One of the last installation steps will offer to update your X configuration file. Either accept that offer, edit your X configuration file manually so that the NVIDIA X driver will be used, or run nvidia-xconfig Note that the list of supported GPU products is provided to indicate which GPUs are supported by a particular driver version. Some designs incorporating supported GPUs may not be compatible with the NVIDIA Linux driver: in particular, notebook and all-in-one desktop designs with switchable (hybrid) or Optimus graphics will not work if means to disable the integrated graphics in hardware are not available. Hardware designs will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, so please consult with a system's manufacturer to determine whether that particular system is compatible.
